La India Fountain. It is located in front of the Plaza of the Fraternity and it symbolizes Havana; with the result that it is also known as the statue of the Noble Havana. It dates of 1837 and it is work of the Italian Gaggini, the same artist that one year before sculpted the Fuente de los Leones.
The central figure of the Fuente de la India is adorned with feathers and it’s guarded by four dolphins that are to its feet and they drip water when the source this lit one. In one of their hands it sustains a cornucopia and in the other one the coat of arms of the City of Havana.
